Wanted:  Osteopathic Manual Practitioner:

The well-established and busy Halifax Osteopathic Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia is looking for an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner to join out multidisciplinary team.  This is a permanent, full time position with a developed case load.

We are looking for a fully qualified and registered practitioner with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in clinical practice.  We have a growing clientele with women’s health and pre- and post-natal related issues.  Therefore, strong diagnostics skills and interest treating within this category is strongly desired.  We are also looking for a practitioner with excellent skills in cranial, pediatrics and visceral osteopathic manipulative techniques.

These include the ability to clearly communicate with other health professionals both verbally and in writing and understand the benefits of a multi-disciplinary team approach when working with patients; diagnosing disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal, circulatory, nervous, visceral system and treating patients with osteopathic manipulative therapy.

Education required:
Master or Bachelors in Osteopathy from a reputable university.  We do accept applicants with college qualifications in osteopathy whose school may not have been eligible to offer a degree.

Salary: min. $66,300

Eastern Passage Wellness Center – shared treatment space available for rent.

Eastern Passage Wellness Center is a fully established, multidisciplinary clinic, currently we offer Massage Therapy, Chiropractic and Acupuncture, we would love to have an Osteopath join our team! Applicant must be in good standing with the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths. We have shared treatment space available for rent. Rent can be a flat monthly rate or a commission based. The treatment space we have available is fully furnished, (including an Rhea-Med Contour LeverTec hydraulic table).

Rent includes use of the treatment room, reception, front desk, onsite laundry, cleaning, winter maintenance. We don’t have a receptionist but we do have an answering service that takes care of the phone while we are in treatment.
