The Layered Approach to the OA Lesion:
This course deals with the common problem with OA corrections, does your patient need to have it done? Is it truly an OA lesion or not? Using assessment tools this course will help you determine what approach is required for the lesion you have found. We will delve into the world of energy, using it to add to the liquid and solid worlds of Osteopathy and see how it changes the findings in a patterned OA lesion. We will deal with the concept of patterning and how to determine when and how to intervene when one is present. The use of force will be discussed and avoided whenever possible. Using the concepts of ligamentous articular strain, functional correction, recoil and facet release we will create ways to clear up these lesions without an impulse for use in geriatrics and pathologies.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for registration package.
All members of the NSAO are encouraged to attend a special meeting July 18th at 5:30 at the Sobey’s Mill Cove in Bedford (community meeting room) in order to vote on the updated by-laws. All proxies should have been submitted by this time. For further questions contact email@example.com
At the end of the workshop, the participant:
1) Will understand the multifactorial nature of the various development disorders affecting children and the main mechanisms and research avenues associated with them
2) Will know the main osteopathic patterns linked with these problems.
3) Will be able to assess and treat the areas that are associated with these dysfunctions using a simple, precise and efficient approach.
